Frequently-Asked Questions

Are there special events during the week?

We have few special events throughout the week! Here is the schedule below:

TUESDAY: T-Shirt Day
WEDNESDAY: Dress-Up Day
THURSDAY: Water Day
FRIDAY: Parent Program at 7 pm

Can I register someone who is not my child?

That is between you and the child’s parents. Each registration form requires you to read and agree with NCC’s liability waiver as it pertains to the child you are registering, which can only be granted by the legal guardian.

What do I do if I have a coupon or need financial assistance?

If you have a coupon, please call the church office when you’re ready to fill out the registration form. The church office number is 602.978.2740, and the office is open Monday-Thursday from 9 am – 12 pm and 1-4 pm.

If you need financial assistance, please fill out the Vacation Bible School Scholarship form before registering for VBS. We never want finances to hinder children from going to VBS. We believe that each child will benefit from the fellowship, activities, and especially the exposure to the preaching of God’s Word. Therefore, we would love for all children to be able to attend and will provide assistance according to the need and our ability to meet the need.

Can I register my kids on the first day of VBS?

We will only be offering walk-up registration on Monday morning if we have not already met our capacity limits. Our advice is to register your kids online well before the May 31 deadline! We would suggest that you don’t count on walk-up registration as an option.

In the case that we are able to offer walk-up registration on Monday morning, the cost will be $25 per child. If you register online by May 31, the cost is $20 per child.

Where do I go first when showing up on Monday morning?

Monday mornings are always crazy with excitement as we prepare to kick off a fun week with your kids, so please make sure to arrive 15-20 minutes early to help make that first day as easy as possible. When you arrive, locate the “Pre-Registered Kids” line that will be out on the patio. You will be given your child’s classroom assignment as well as one music CD per family that will include the songs your kids will be learning that week. From there you will take your child to his/her class to meet the teacher and get checked in. Classrooms open at 8:10 am.

What are your check-in and check-out procedures?

Safety is a priority for us, and we want to make sure you feel comfortable leaving your kids in our care. For that reason we have established our check-in and check-out procedures for all our teachers and helpers to adhere to.

CHECK-IN
Please drop your kids off at their classrooms. Someone should be at the door to greet you and check your child in.

CHECK-OUT
When you fill out your child’s online registration form, you will have an opportunity to list two additional people to pick up your child for that week. Your child will only be released to you (the parent or guardian) or one of those two people. If someone comes to pick up your child that is not on that list, you will be contacted.

Can I change who has permission to pick up my child during the week?

Since our rosters are made from the information you submit on your child’s registration form, no changes will be made during the week to who can pick up your child. However, we understand that emergencies come up and we want to do our best to serve you in whatever way we can.

How is snack time handled for kids who have food allergies?

If your child has food allergies, we ask that you provide him/her with a substitute snack (non-perishable and labeled). Daily snacks will be a variety of kid-friendly, individually packed snacks.
